Thanks, this is exactly what I am looking for, however the link did not work for me.

I was actually going to start a new thread asking for help with my home network, but hopefully if I ask it here instead it will be ok?

We have an adsl modem and router, a desktop and a laptop, and using an ethernet connection before we changed to wireless the network was working ok.

Someone recently gave us a TPG wireless router which I have connected. It seemed to work ok, but only one computer can connect to the net at a time. In order to fix this, I went to Control Panel (Windows XP) and under selected Network Connections, then 'Wireless Network Connection Properties', then under Internet Connections I checked the box for 'Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection'. I also did the same thing for the laptop, this way I thought whichever computer logs on first wont stop the other computer connecting.

Now both computers can use the internet, however there is a catch, the connection randomly drops out with the message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage, Most likely causes:· You are not connected to the Internet. · The website is encountering problems. · There might be a typing error in the address".

When this happens as it does every half hour or so, we have to select the 'diagnose connection problems' option, and after responding to various prompts, it repairs the connection. This takes about five minutes however and is really frustrating to do constantly.....

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this problem?

If it is any help, I have never set up a network, it is there by default from turning the wireless router on. I tried to create my own network, but this requires you to copy the network key to a USB device, and plug it into the router, but the router has no USB port! Really annoying...

Thank you very much to anyone who can help, as this is all really frustrating!
