I use godaddy myself and wouldn't use any other registrar regardless of price. I have used register.com in the past back when you expected to pay $35/domain, but now... I wouldn't touch register.com. You just have so much better service with godaddy, you have quicker turnaround time on transfers, and it is so easy to push domains when you sell them that it just doesn't make any sense to go anywhere else. They just have so many features and so much to offer with great backing of their products that they put the other companies to shame.

I have most of mine with http://www.namecheap.com. To date, I have had no problems. The only ones I have with godaddy are ones that I bought from other people that gave you a free "push" to your godaddy account. It is painful that almost everything you do in regards to domains with godaddy, they try to sell you more stuff. Someone who aint too clever can easily get taken in and end up buying more than they should.

I just joined name.com a couple of days ago. The control panel could be worked on a bit to make it more user friendly I feel.

I use NameCheap and WSDReg.com. I mainly use WSDReg but their prices have become quite more expensive and they don't have the sort of discounts they use to have (I remember once when .COM was for $4.95 or something) - but I still use them for their excellent control panel. They are a reseller but they do have support there that responds within a few hours. NameCheap are slightly more expensive than WSDReg but they're a very trustworthy domain registrar, I think typically that's why I sometime register my domains there.
