There was just an interesting debate in one of my college courses about the benefits of legalizing the oldest profession in the world. By legalizing we would be able to help reduce the risk of spreading disease by regulating the process, we could tax the money made, and we could make it a safer profession by reducing the number of rapes and violent crimes. Also, by making it a regular job, you would reduce the number of people in jail for it, you could reduce the need for police fighting it, and you could also potentially lower the drug abuse rates as well by regulating it.

What do you think?

Well, there are pros and cons. I personally believe that as long as those who are doing this "job" are not a threat to the society, it is OK.
BUT, I also believe that we must do our best to eradicate it. It is OK as long as you are single, but when you are married or you are seeing someone.... its just not fair IMHO.
