Full Version: Error in writing disc

Hey guys.....while writing some stuff to DVD, the process failed and the following message showed up- 'Writing error: (3) error writing data to disc. a flaw exists in the power calibration area (1048). Error sense data: SENSE KEY:3ASC:73ASCQ:3'.Of course me being from a nontechnical background, i couldn't make anything of d message.
So guys any help from your side would be appreciated. i would like to know if the problem is minor or my writer is gone permanently. and if its permanent whether this is covered under the warranty..thanks

Cause : This error is caused by a CD Burner that is going bad or the most common cause is a Bad CD-R Blank

Solution: Try a new CD Blank or a different brand

i tried it with four different DVDs man...but the same result everytime. i guess its time i get my burner replaced....
