Hello,

I love google, but I hear lately that there are many others out there doing a great job too.. Can someone mention some of them? I know altavista, for example, but I think google is much better.
I really like google actually. Its faster to use, gives me the best results, and really its part of my everyday surfing experience. I find that Yahoo is much slower when it comes to giving results. Thats why I stick to google.
Google is great and yahoo are getting there. I haven't tried MSN yet, but they seem to be actively crawling sites.
The Google is my all-time favorite search engine.
Almost 90% of the searches that i perform are made using the Google search engine.

The yahoo has lost a considerable market share in the recent past.
i dunno why. maybe because they haven't done anything innovative recently.

I find altavista one of the best when it comes to Image searches.

Also the MS people have improved a lot when they launched the Live search,
but they are still way behind Google.

thanx,
Shadab.
Most of the time I use Google. Occasionally I use Dogpile. So far I am happy with those for my searching needs.
I use and I like mozilla, mostly bcause it blocks all the unfriendly viruses and pages and also because it's usefull, quick and easy.
I think Google is the best.
Yahoo is the 2nd best.
I don't use any others.
I found this page when I searched for "Top 10 search engines".

I personally use google for the majority of my searches, however when I am looking for something in particular that is a little more content oriented, then I use about.com. The reasoning for this is that guides hand pick the links that they use plus they have a lot of their own content on a variety of topics. I have personally benefited greatly from a lot of the topics on about and feel it is the better source for content related searches than anyone else.
