They really should make it easier to find 
It took a bit to find it when I was looking to transfer a domain away from godaddy. I think I clicked on everything in the hope of finding it. You have to actually open the domain itself.
So if anyone is trying to do the same, here is what you do.
Log into Godaddy.com, go to "Manage Domains"and open the domain name that you want to transfer away.
You will see a panel on that has many options At the bottom of the first column you will find a link to Authorization Code: Send by Email
Click on that link and it will email the EPP Authorization code needed to apply for a transfer away from Godaddy.com to your intended registrar. Check that your Registered Owner and Administrator email addresses are current before doing this to be sure you receive the email.
Then unlock the domain, go to your intended registrar and request transfer of the domain that you received the EPP for. Enter the authorisation code that you received from godaddy when prompted.
